so the year draws to a close...

lets recall the year tt has passed...Cant really recall it though..i have a bad memory. But i certainly do recall the very first few seconds of my New Year....spend with the gang at Ecp...in a large 8 man tent counting down playing with light sticks...bbq and a mini steamboat tt tasted like yong tou fu soup, peering to our left catching glimpses of fireworks form the more happening Marina Bay/Esplanade..

And then it was the beginning of 2006...a great year perhaps...my very last moments in Hall 6...whihc was very saddening..till now i miss my room...my room mate and my friends..and trainings and matches and etc....abd when the sem exams concluded, I was soon packing my bags and joining the rest to our lil adventure in USA.

a truly humbling and memorable experience that i will nv forget...the tough working schedules..the disputes... the off days where we headed to Atlantic City(where else)...the occasion road trips to WAshinton DC...Philadelphia...NIaagara FAlls....and Delaware...the thrill of inserting quarters to wash and dry clothes at the laundramat...the egyptian and English colleague..the ridiculously obnoxious Americans...( not all)

and then the backpacking began...or shld i say luggage packing for we had with us tons of luggage tt we tuck along...so much so we needed 2 MPVs to travel aound...the SUbway....(both the underground and the deli) the choosing of which jacket to wear... the poping into every aeropostale shop... the thrill of walking into GAP, Banana Republic....Nike..and of cos our fav Fossil...

the trips we made to Grand CAnyon...Hoover dam... being stuck in the desert like interstate after being totally out of fuel....the speeding ticket in california...the view from the top of empire state....the stature of liberty....

Taipei....

I can go on and on...but this aint a blog abt my US escapades...

in 2006 i Passed eveery subject for the first time...

the moving into hall with 3 other roomies in a room fit for only 2... the nites of mugging and projects....the excitement of learning abt the leaked exam paper....

the start of FYP....the 999th day and 1000th day with dear...theres just so much to remember this year

2007 will be a new year...(duh)

my last semester studying....going back to army in may....and then sigh.. work...

I wish one and all a Happy new Year...( sentence structure cmi)

the only time i really enjoyed earthquake was when in a grp of friends and enjoying Swenson's earthquake....thats it...

this most recent taiwan quake that comes exactly on the 2nd anniversary of the asian tsunami is just too creepy....and whats more it has disrupted our internet services....crap..

I met hj today at citilink and its quite an experience...i glanced at him, he zoomed past me i turned around and stare at him.... then he walked even further away and kept stealing glances back 3 times... on the 4th he finally saw me.. haha thats wat i mean by pple do know tt u r looking at them even though they are facing in front..

celebrated pauls bdae today at marina..looking for a man u jersey paul scholes for him but cannot find. haha too BAD! man u sucks.. haha their kit sponsors are umbro...and u dun see any Umbro flagships stores anywhere around town.. its Adidas' Chelsea and Liverpool kits everywhere...plus paul...someone dun like u to wear jersey so there u go....haf fun with ur new Tommy 10.

chrostmas day was spent with a massive party at my place...but without any xmmas deco nor gift exchange though the relatives nv fail to bring tons of wine form all over the world and endless supply of heineken and hoe garden.. haha...thankfully they left the hoe garden behind for me...

and it was a massive buffet of 14 dishes....and a gambling den of 2 mj tables....if it werent the 25th u might be mistaken it was a cny.

so the mj table had 2 stakes....the lower stakes table playing 10 cent 20 cent and a higher stakes table playing $1/$2
with each kang being $2 ...Ga bieng $2 as well...my worth...it was more profitable playing for kangs....haha yes i played the big stake table and managed a damage of $56 damnit.

watch out my uncle and aunty i will be back during cny.

stuck with a dilemna at 930 pm on the eve... to drive or not to drive...was worried of a massive jam an no car park lots.... in the end decided to drive cos i didnt wanna squeeze with the rest of singapore and queue for a cab when i go hm...

and wat a surprise it was... no jams... ecp as empty as lim chu kang rd... rochor rd exit was like a weekday 4am.... the roundabout to raffles boulevard was easier to maneouver than expected... and there were 398 car park lots at marina sq waiting for us. haha

so merry christmas one and all ho ho ho.

but some how i forgot where i park my car and spent a good half an hour searching for it.. sigh

my russian prof is back and it doesnt help that he and my local prof have different expectations of me... my hard effort gone down the drain in seconds...it really torn my heart for i really did put in effort.

Weekends are here again...Again? huh wat again? i dunno. now that there are no exams... weekends and weekdays seem the same for me.. haha. the only difference is weekend got no weekday TVB drama.

so yeah i am going malacca tmw... to our littel hideout by the south china sea... i porb bring my camera to let u all take a look of me typing my report on my so called retreat. maybe i will laze ard the jaccuzi sipping a glass of chilled lemonade...but i tink i have a phobia for jaccuzi for now...

If u all read the papers...or even bothered to catch the news some German got sucked in to the bottom of the pool...I really felt for him.. it must haf hurt. more so his whole tummy kena sucked in by the vacumn....an dhe was face down....even though it was very shallow....cos it was a jacuzzi...he still had no chance of survival...poor guy.

I grabbed 3 books from LWN lib today intending to start my lit review but to no avail.
But i bought a new pair of running shoes so i can run faster.
as i was jogging to pasir ris park whihc is abt 10 mins away. i saw horses...yeah in pasir ris park and thye look like an expensive breed. very nice colour... and beautiful.. there were lil ponies as well in the ranch...Welcome to Pasir Ris !

So i used the changkul and with all my might dug a trench really deep enough such that i could uproot it. and there i succeeded with a few blisters and many mosquitoes rewarding my effort with love bites.

i was watching the ASian games. not very well covered by the media..we wonder why. Dun they know i finished my exams and the missus has gone to China.

watching swimming events have always excited me. not in the sexual way. but rather the competition for its exciting...its like watching track events. it leaves me pondering why China and HongKong are competing as 2 different nations since they have decided to merge in 1997?

Whats the point then? wheras in competions like hockey, they are called Hongkong, China. Whats with the discrepancy?

not tt i care but i have too much time on my hands to care. haha. so there goes another day of my holiday. i am in need of exercise...or i could look for a SAnta Claus job this festive season. but i would rather choose the former..cos christmas comes only once a year.

Of my holiday.

not mucha holiday compared to the 3 months i spend in US. My uncle and aunt stopped over for transit from USA. they were visiting my cousin who was a dentist in Chicago. And it shocks me that they went to places like Peru and VEnezuela for a vacation. Dad told me Peru had some long history with some maya civilisatoin .

well after the daily dosage for 9pm and 10 pm show, rushed down to dears hse to pick her up. went to orchard cine....for some light hearted HAPPY FEET. we missed the starting but Boy was it a good show...its so me. haha as in the crappiness of the show...and their movements were way awesome.

at 2 am we headed down for some dim sum at Jln Besar....it was good. and certainly not too ex. opens form 5pm to 10am haha. and then we ordered siang pian...as in the chinese tea...and then lo and behold it comes in a huge teapot which i struggled to finish.

back home... slept 5am....not again....with exams or without it seems like i am hitting 5am nitely.

to which i tought i could get a gd nite slp...and the next morning i was greeted by my neighbours renovation...that sent the whole house revebarating like nobodis business... damnit. it was like 840am!!

so i woke up had a you tiao breakfast and watched hk drama... cant remember its name but its abt some old man with parkinson's disease... therafter i had lunch and then back to HBO...SAHARA...nice war movie..haha and before u know it... nightfall....
