Its another Sunday.
back from a weekend of bday celebrations for dear.
tmw is part 3..heh.
we hada nice dinn at some jap restaurant in clark quay..burp.
and a long long walk back to the car park at china square. yeow.
in any case. its monday tomorrow. yeah in a weeks time i will be mahjonging at the high tables aka stressful sesison with the professionals again. hoping to minimise loss. haha.
it aint exciting at all. theres no mood for lunar new year this year. perhaps its a tad to close to xmas.
I ahve a tough week ahead and a tougher ox year ahead at work. i can foresee it and its not going to be easy. i;ll have to try. till then.

and its quite silly for dear and me...we took a cab to east coast to rent some bikes and to start our torturous but rewarding journey through east coast-bedok-bedok reservoir-sunplaza park-pasriris park- changi village- changi beach- east coast park.
it was gruesome but yeah it was enjoyable. lovely day my friends.

So yeah the week goes on and on...and lo and behold its friday tomorrow.

it's an interestin place to work. place as in raffles place. lotsa different sights and sounds. at 12pm exactly loud music will start booming or some deejay or emcee will start talking and all creatin a lively aatmosphere. And even on the 20th floor staring right at my 14 inch cRT screen...i know its almost time for lunch. it perks me up a little now that i dont have coffee in the mornings.

what a sight. an old lady starts pushing her cart across the busy roads...a few office ladies in short skirts walk pass and the old men sitting at the grass patch will turn their heads.
"hi! long time no see blah blah blah" its not hard to bump into a friend here. friends, cousin. exclassmates and all.
i stepped out of my lift today to bump into my old friend. and acjc choir carolling at my lobby. what gives.

honks are nothing new here. speeding cars horning at every damn opportunity they get. perhaps that adds to the atmosphere of this business district. Walking along robinson's road aha MPH. many people in here browsing at magazines to kill time. i like to pick Neil Humprhey's books cos he writes like i talk. its like we're speaking the same language. boo. and then life goes on its 2pm. Free afternoon edition of Today.
who cares. i dont even have time to read it.
Back to the office like other workers as we wait impatiently for the lift to "Ding" that can be a chore...especially when you don know anyone else at the lift lobby. Body language can be well seen here. people getting fidgetty, taking out foen to sms or pretending to push a few buttons...occasionally some idiot pressing the up button when its obviously presed and brightly lit in its incospicuous shade of Blue.
aha. life goes on.
we had a gift exchange thingy going on. aha.
i my secretary picked me...and i got a pretty decent lokign shirt.
she asked me M you can wear right.
To which i said yeah sure..with my tummy bulging out.
no la you so skinny.

i swear she's gonna get a big fat bonus.

oh. i am like pretty looking forward to xmas.cos my comp is closing on the 26th...which lets me have a 4 day break. how cool is that.

and once i start hitting ctrl+alt+del to key in my ever familiar password i know the day is going to turn real boring. facing the music is a must in this job. kena left right centre up down....no maybe not down. havent got screwed that bad yet.

the first day. uncertainities. on the mrt...i was thinkning about my old place. about walking to the pantry to grab my regular fix. here i was now on the train. dressed smartly like an exec and finally the elevator doors opened. here i was.
holy crap my dept is huge...over 120 pple. its crammed as compared to my old place where we can wheel around like we owned the world.
tables have turned. the male to female ratio has switched. seemingly more like a female dominated environment now.
oh well. what gives? I even have my own secretary.
but still i am not happy. gone are the fun filled days of joy and laughter. maybe its just the beginning. life will never be the same again.
i wanted to leave on the dot. but my secretary was still furiously typing away. damn. whatever happened to work-life balance.

Back!
so yeah the southwest was cancelled so we had to take another flight down to LAX. and then somehow had the luck to check in first class which meant our luggages would nt have to be weighed in. phew!
soon we were on the A340 back to SIngapore.what a long 18 hours flight that was.
Vegas wasnt as awesome as we went a couple of years back. pretty same old sights down the strip. casinos here and there. nothing much. lost money. nothing new.

perhaps we went there for shopping only haha. so anyways we arrives singapore at 640am went home for a quick shower and by 830 we were back at office!at the outlet lunching..i jus sneezed by the way

zzzz. we checked out early got to the airport but kinda was stnned tt our domestic on southwest ot cancelled.
put us on a later flight. but we'll make it back heh.

Hi folks, am here in Reno now. Took a long flight from Singapore which was kinda delayed cos the flight AOG. So reached LAX finally after a gruelling flight.
Stayed over at marriot cos our connecting flight isnt until next day.

so me n al will be gg to Vegas by ourself while another colleague goes back to LA after the training.
and then we will be in vegas for the weekend.
hotels in vegas are expensive dring the weekend but veyr cheap on sunday

so we plan to stay at the stratosphere on fri, Hilton on saturday and MGM Grand on sunday haha

As you might know...mackerel is this yummy fish that we eat in otak. Basically you put the mackerel in and debone it and then paint it orange-y and all and lo and behold...you get mackerel Otak.

went to meet dear straightaway and off we went in her Cefiro to Quality Hotel. Had a nice supper of porridge buffet at only $7.80 nett. quite a good deal and we were chatted up with some Americans haha from Cali.

happy 1200th day. heh
quite a gd day.. weather wasnt too hot and for the 3rd consequective weekend we were at Katong. This time to try out Aston Specialities. Food was gd and price was affordable. Took a bus down to Suntec to finally catch Transformer n it was really gd.

Then met the ex blk 35 pple for dinner at waraku b4 heading down to alley bar to chill out.

Past week was ok save for the irritating and unnecesary renovations at my home...had a new coat of paint and all...auto gate has been demoliseh and I got a frigging cold air con now. Went for dental FFI and work. that sums up my life...but now its time to relax....till the first of august.

I am suffering from what we call writer's block. Cos I aint gt nth to share with u...
If i were to type my army stories its prob gonna bore u... but since i have nth to share i might as well

So I am at sungei Gedong.... 7 years since I was first posted there. its been quite a journy for me...literally and figuratively. Its nice to see the regulars there...who were 2SG back then and are Staff SG now... its nice to see my old bosses and all.

On and off some other regulars come back and shout my name... its otuching to know they still rmember me even though we were nt really close. We do some catching up and some networking.

My work is challenging. Its a freaking technician who works under the sun and sometimes shade to repair and deliver tanks to be ready for operations. However with the lousy tanks we have it breaks down like nobody business so We're usually busy.

ok even i felt bored typing abt all these.

I look forward to weekends for it is then i can spend time with my loved one.

my Credit card bill came... a whopping $250 lol.
think i have been spending a lot on weekends. but i like it...i mean i like hanging out and chilling with my frens so heck care.

My father was sweeping the lawn when he spotted a coiled up python in the corner of our garden. We were alerted to it and closed all windows and doors. My mother was worried about the python harming our lives or the children in the estate and even the pets that the neighbours owned.

She called the police. To our surprise, we were told that it was NOT their responsibility as the python was found in a private property. The offiicer on the line told her that it was no longer their responsibility as it was in private grounds. We were told that they were only responsible if the python was found in a public place such as a park or kindergarten. My mother asked for advice and was told abruptly to call the pest control, she was then directed to dial 100.

My mother was angry. Besides being a public holiday, most of the pest control companies we called were not working. We were at a loss as there was noone we could turn too. I suggested chasing the snake out of our garden so that it now became a public place and the police could then come. but my father was against the idea.

We eventually managed to enlist the help of some relatives who stayed far away to come and subdue this dangerous creature.

I am rather concerned about the job scope and responsibilities of the Singapore Police Force. Shouldnt they be ensuring the safety of Singaporeans? in the event of a burglary at a private property, should we even bother calling the Police since it is a private property?

I am rather bothered by this issue as we were totally helpless today with noone daring to step outdoors till we were at our wits end. I hope the relevant authorities can look into this matter and provide assurance to the public.

yeah jus a quick update.

havent got the energy nor the time.

Had a weekend getaway at Redang. and it was good. The bus was good. the hotel was good. okay maybe not that good. I was expecting a real sea view from my balcony and all i got was palm trees shielding my view and I got the perfect view of the pavement. nah...aint too pleased abt it.

Snorkelling was good. We got to see lotsa fishes and corals its like swimming in an aquarium. Howveer I failed to amster the technique of breathing through my mouth. Meals were buffet style though the food wasnt tt fantastic. The best thing abt Redang would be the clear blue sea and the endless stars in the sky.

It was a short grad trip but It was certainly worthwhile.

Army. Well, getting the hang of it now so no further complaints haha

Heres another reason to hate Russia and Russians.

I had my presentation this mornign. it was at 10am. so i was waiting for time to pass..at 957 am i went in...first thing I met was my prof Kulish scolding me..."do you know your presentation is at 10 am!! Your moderator has been waiting for you!"

basket 957 only wat late ah late u get out and dun listen la...si lao gao!

so i decided to jus plug in my thumb drive and in less than a min i was ready to begin my presentation...and I must say it was very smooth and all but really some profs need to learn courtouesy!

there i was presenting and there was my moderator stretching his limbs and yawning....and my two profs were shaking their heads! I was definitely affected physoclogically...i mean if u r presenting and ur profs are there shaking their haeds and whispering to one another you know u r in deep shit.

but it was a smooth one for me. and then the Q & A began where the Russian with the fat trap couldnt keep it shut and he let fly a series of criticisms...and began asking questions and reprimanding me....the mod wasnt any better ....his level of english was worse than a bangladeshi....it was the worse 30 mins of my life...

the local prof wasnt any better.

to hell with all of you. You did not even bother responging to my arranging for a meet up...u did not even help me...i can say that this project i was 95 % on my own and here u are kao paying...

i was deeply upset.

when all the profs lef tthe LT I let my fist smash the projection screen in disgust. just you watch out u bunch of pigs.

Oh. holy molley... after like 16+ years of education...it has boiled down to this day...our veyr last day of lessons. Sob.

And what a day it began....i Double Snoozed my alarm... ( so it became off) then alv shook me at 914....yay we were awake! BUt we haf a damn quiz in 15 mins time. haha so off we ran like mad dogs..bathe change brush teetch etc and got our ass off to school chased the SBS bus ran to lecture theatre.....haolun msged me hha he jus woke up too and was going down in a cab lol... what a day for us.

So we manged out final quiz in NTU... and off i was to print my report whihc costs a BOMB.

rushed to hand it to some Tall Russian and then Ran to South spine to meet dear to do some tan dio $5 survey. and then rushed to take a cab back home....Along the way it started pouring and along Bedok Reservoir Rd ..my cab skidded and was nearly hit on the back my a E-braking car.... phew....

whoopie its been a great 3 years...I love her...she's always on my mind....aww heh. After our overnite party at my place..and no thanks to hl's DVD The Descent...or was it Ascent? wateva...
yea it made the 25th a very shag day...but a memorable one spent with my love.

started pretty late...drove to Serangoon Gardens...nope not for chomp chomp..looking for a nice place to chill out... finally found ice cube.. pretty good n quiet place...with almost nobody in theer...

then we headed to mohd sultan....yeah not to chiong... haha but to visit the Chocolate Factory and i must say its really good.. and then we headed down to Funan the It mall to collect dear's lappie...was collecting it at the counter when i noticed some familiar voice...he asked the counter for a namecard...then i looked up and saw him...aha my sec 2 fren tian peng from acs.

nice and easy going chap...we used to go home togeter after sch cos he stays in the east too haha. and though we both have tanah merah country club membership... he goes to play golf while i tennis squash and swimming ahha. oh and we used to go bowling after sch at some kanasai queenstown bowl too.

after tt we drove down to seletar camp... i kinda miss the place. its freakin huge..its my old camp ahha memories of walking 20 plus mins to the main gate to baord a bus home haha. we had dinner at Sunset Grill. pretty nice and laid back place with a real al fresco touch by the runway..i love the place...

oh oh i have to say this i was surfing (channels) and chanced upon WWE....hhaha and guess whose up there with Vince Mcman....none other than Donald Trump aha holy shit...last nite he shoved Vince McMan in the ring haha ...

Well.

All's not very well.

i dunno wats wrong man...its like 5 weeks to the exams..i wished i were a freshman again..less things to be bothered about..
the niggling problems of FYP(again) exams...looking for jobs, going back to serve the nation for another 96 days....blah blah blah...

but i know no matter what happens, i will still come out strong..thats me..i may look fragile at this period...but no matter what happens, I knw lief must go on and i can keep my heads up high...I have the sweetest gift to me...a certain gal...heh. ok its getting to mushy..

thks dear for everything and the constant encouragement.

today i made a decision.

I have decided nt to be so childish n seek revenge or watsoever..call me a wuss a pussy watever u wan...I will not screw my prof with my anaconda..

that doesnt mean i am gonna sit there quietly...I am gonna email them togethet with my results and data...and let them know tt i am not wrong...nor right either...but i have to let them know tt i have done my research....and work.

the thing tt worries me...basically abt this project...I have accomplished like almost nth...except gather some data ...i dun see how i have helped my profs at all in their projects...but then again it aint my fault...one prof left for stanford for one whole semester..the other prof dumped me 2 of his papers n ask me read n understand from scratch n derive all his equations... tt i did...and then now this semester has been horrible...

ok. i look forward to a brand new week. i am gonna start studying like pretty soon. theer aint much time left...i am secretly wishing to go for another job interview...I enjoyed the one at toshiba... pls somebody pls ring me!!!

yea i know i said i will blog abt those 2 asses aldy but i'm sorry i can't help it... its also a means of letting my frens know... since they keep asking and i dun feel like saying usually after my meeting with asses.

so for the record i spend like nearly 2 sleepless nites finishing my report. submitted it and went to see the asses. Knocked the door went it...the local arse told me to go out for a min he needed to finish discussing with the russian arse ( they were plotting)

SO i was invited in and the russian arse didnt let me speak. he showed me a list of papers of info which he got....for the record the data he got was absolutely crap.....

initially thye wanted data on gases...so i got them gases by which the russian said: hahaha we professors..when we mean gases we mean liquids n gases....
fine i got the data for liquid n gases...to which i asked the local arse the range...he told me 500 kelvin.... okie those engineering students u shld know tt at 500 K very pretty much most fluids are gases...

so the 2 asses was shooting at me left right centre back.... telling me wat a mes si created in proving their equations wrong and so on... its like they feel challenged... i wanted to refer to my own data to compare but the russianinterttuprted me with wait listen to me first...

my blood was boiling....again the local ass brought the issue of whether i wanted to pass my fyp or stay another semester....

and then they asked me if i had emailed stanford n cornell university for help....and they were like ( i m sure they were) pretty embaraased cos i tink the pple there feedbacked to them....and so the russian was like asking me why did i do tt for?" you even emailed a Nobel Laurette??"

bloody piece of foreign talent i will kick ur ass on the nearest KURSK submarine and sent it sinking by my rubber duckie u UNDERSTAND!!!!

i need help now...what do u guys think shld i email him my data...for the record theres nth wrong with my data....its jus tt for their equation to work it needs to be in the bloody liquid phase!!! so STOP askign me to find 500 KELVINS... damnit.

so shld i highlight in red my data and send in an email n condemn them and possibly risk staying another sem here...or shld i quietly sit in one corner sucking my thumb and be a good SIngaporean.
